GoPro launches close-up filters for MISSION 1 and MISSION 1 PRO cameras

The standalone Close-Up Filter costs $49.99 and the three-filter set costs $99.99, both available globally at GoPro.com.

GetSignal GoPro, Inc. GPRO

GoPro, Inc. announced on October 22, 2026 three new close-focus diopters made by PolarPro for its MISSION 1 and MISSION 1 PRO cameras. The transparent filters slide over the camera lens or an ND filter and use static focus, so no adjustment is required. The company said the filters add subject separation and background blur to a shot.

Customers can buy a standalone Close-Up Filter, a +0.5 diopter, or a Close-Up Filter Set with +0.5, +1 and +2 diopters. The set includes a travel case for storing unused filters. Focus distances are 19.6in (50cm) to 59in (150cm) for +0.5, 17.7in (45cm) to 35.4in (90cm) for +1, and 11.8in (30cm) to 19.6in (50cm) for +2.

Both options are compatible with MISSION 1, MISSION 1 PRO, MISSION 1 PRO Grip Edition, MISSION 1 PRO Creator Edition and MISSION 1 PRO Ultimate Creator Edition. They are backed by PolarPro's Adventure Assurance. GoPro Premium and Premium+ subscribers save 20% on close-up filters at GoPro.com.

The MISSION 1 Series has earned 14 industry awards from 12 news, lifestyle, consumer technology, photography and outdoor publications since its launch earlier this year.
