The GetSignal feed: an analyst price target, an insider buy and grouped insider filings, each with the filing it came from.

Follow the people and companies that have to disclose

Search by name or ticker and follow up to 15 on a free account. Your feed then carries their filings, and the profile behind each one is a tap away.

Companies

Any U.S.-listed company

Form 4 trades by its officers and directors, the funds that hold it from their 13F filings, members of Congress who traded it, earnings against the estimate, analyst rating changes and dividends.

A company profile in the GetSignal app: the share price and the day’s move, a Follow button, and chips for the funds that hold it, insider selling in the last 90 days and the next earnings date.

Members of Congress

Every member of the House and Senate

Their STOCK Act trades, each with the trade date, the days the member took to report it, the value band and the stock’s move since, and the median number of days the member takes to disclose.

A member of Congress’s disclosed trades in the GetSignal app: trade date, days taken to file, value band and the stock’s move since the trade.

Fund managers

The managers who file a 13F

Each 13F, quarter by quarter: assets, the positions opened, added to, trimmed and closed, and where the money sits by sector.

A fund manager profile in the GetSignal app: the manager and the fund, a Follow button, and 13F assets under management with the change from the prior quarter.

Net worth and returns in the app are estimates from range-based disclosures, and are labelled as estimates. Not investment advice.

The feed

One feed, with the dates that matter on every trade

Everything the names you follow disclose arrives in one feed, newest first, and filters down to a single kind when you want it: Congress trades, insider trades, 13F moves, earnings, analyst ratings or dividends.

  • The date of the trade and the date it was reported, side by side
  • Open-market buys and sales told apart from stock awards, option exercises and tax withholding
  • Sales under a pre-arranged Rule 10b5-1 plan marked as such
  • When more than one filer trades the same company within days, one event that says so
An insider filing opened in the GetSignal app: the officer, the open-market sale, the shares, the price, the trade date, the Rule 10b5-1 plan and the filing date.
The alerts screen in the GetSignal app: push notifications, quiet hours, a daily push limit, a pause switch and an alert rule.

Alerts

A push when a filing is reported

Follow a name and GetSignal sends a push when it files something your alert rule covers, within minutes of the filing reaching us. The push follows the disclosure, not the trade: a member of Congress has up to 45 days to report a trade, and a corporate insider two business days, so the event each push opens shows both dates.

The rule every account starts with pushes every Congress trade and insider buy, and leaves out routine paperwork such as stock awards, option exercises and insider sales under $5 million. Lower its floor to Routine to get every filing.

  • Alert rules pick the kinds of event that push, and an importance floor from Routine to Major
  • Quiet hours hold pushes overnight and deliver them when the window ends
  • A daily push limit, and a switch that pauses everything for a while
  • A free account has one alert rule, and it can cover everything you follow

Questions about the app

Is the GetSignal app free?
Yes. The app is free to download, and a free account follows up to 15 companies, members of Congress or fund managers, with one alert rule that can cover all of them and the full history on every profile. GetSignal Pro adds unlimited follows, up to 20 alert rules and price alerts, for $14.99 a month or $119.99 a year, with a 7 day free trial for new subscribers.
Is GetSignal on iPhone and Android?
Yes. It is on the App Store for iPhone and on Google Play for Android, listed on both as GetSignal: Smart Money Feed. Members of Congress, companies and fund managers also have free pages on this website.
Is GetSignal related to the Signal messaging app?
No. GetSignal is a finance app that tracks public disclosures. It is made by Signal Technologies Ltd in London and has no connection to the Signal messenger.
Is GetSignal investment advice?
No. GetSignal republishes disclosures that members of Congress, corporate insiders and fund managers are required by law to file, and labels which figures are estimates. It does not recommend securities, execute trades or hold money.
Where does the data come from?
From public records: the STOCK Act reports members of Congress file with the House and the Senate, SEC Form 4 and 13F filings, and the results companies report. Prices and analyst estimates come from licensed market data providers and may be delayed. How every figure is made is on the methodology page.
How quickly do alerts arrive?
When a filing your alert rule covers reaches GetSignal, the push goes out within minutes, around the clock, unless your quiet hours hold it. The trade behind it can be older: a member of Congress has up to 45 days to report a trade, a corporate insider has two business days, and a 13F lists holdings as of a quarter that ended up to 45 days earlier. Every trade in the app shows both dates.
