Johnson & Johnson said new three-year data from the Phase 3 GALAXI 2 and 3 studies showed durable efficacy and a consistent safety profile for Tremfya (guselkumab) in adults with moderately to severely active Crohn's disease. The Week 144 long-term extension results were being presented at the American College of Gastroenterology 2026 Annual Scientific Meeting.
At Week 144, 94% of patients receiving 100 mg every eight weeks and 91% receiving 200 mg every four weeks achieved clinical remission. Endoscopic remission was reported in 52% of patients on the 100 mg regimen and 61% on the 200 mg regimen. Safety findings were consistent with the established safety profile of Tremfya in Crohn's disease.
Among patients on the 100 mg every-eight-weeks regimen, 88% achieved 90-day corticosteroid-free clinical remission, as did 88% on the 200 mg every-four-weeks regimen. The company said 74% of Tremfya-treated patients remained on treatment through three years.
David Rubin, MD, Director of the Inflammatory Bowel Disease Center at the University of Chicago, said the ability to sustain outcomes through three years is particularly meaningful for patients. Rubin is a paid consultant for Johnson & Johnson.
