Synopsys, Inc. (Nasdaq: SNPS) announced on September 28, 2026, AgentEngineer solutions, a portfolio of domain-specific long-horizon agents that reason, plan and execute complete engineering workflows from silicon to systems. The agents cover verification, system validation, implementation, analog, manufacturing, and simulation and analysis.

The agents run on the Synopsys Autopilot Platform, which the company said provides orchestration, skills, memory, telemetry and governance for autonomous engineering workflows. Task-level agents apply Synopsys engineering expertise to tasks such as autonomous coverage closure, multi-die 3DIC assembly, PPA closure and mask synthesis.

Synopsys said the platform supports customer choice across Synopsys, partner and third-party models, infrastructure and agents, while preserving security and data integrity. Synopsys said demonstrated results from market leaders include up to 50x faster verification closure, 20% higher coverage, a 30% productivity boost and 2x better token efficiency.

Ravi Subramanian, Chief Product Management Officer at Synopsys, said customers are moving from AI-assisted design to autonomous engineering as system complexity rises and market windows tighten.

Synopsys said more than 50 engagements are underway with the AgentEngineer solutions and the Autopilot Platform. Customers and partners named by the company include AheadComputing, Fujitsu, Intel, MediaTek, NVIDIA, Samsung Electronics and TSMC.
